Report of Khari-ii Hydro-Power Project, Pakistan

First phase of the Project (1MW) was setup in 2003 on 50 cusecs water allocated to AJK for Irrigation of Khari and Panjeri areas downstream Mangla Dam. The 2 nd Phase of the Project (3.5 MW) is being constructed on the additional allocation of 126 cusecs water allocated to AJK by government of Pakistan for drinking and industrial demand of Mirpur City under Mangla Dam Raising agreement signed and executed in June 2003.
